Website (HTTP) Monitoring
Howsthe.com will monitor your websites or web services using the HTTP protocol. If there are any issues reaching your website or if we receive a HTTP status code other than one in the range of 200-300 (status codes), Howsthe.com will notify you by email and/or SMS. We can also search your page content for keywords and notify you if they're not found.

- Website/HTTP Monitoring
- Howsthe.com can monitor any website that is publicly accessibly from the Internet. The monitor will verify that the website is running in the chosen time interval set when creating a monitor.
- Web service Monitoring
- Howsthe.com can monitor web service. One example of a web service we can verify, would be a RESTful API that your company may offer to its users.
- Keyword Search
- Howsthe.com allows you to search the content of the website for a keyword or a phrase. This can prevent false positives on a website that is having database issues or application errors, the website my be reachable but is displaying errors. With keyword search you can require that the content of the website always includes this keyword or phrase.
- Wait Period
- Howsthe.com gives you the ability to choose how often to check a website. In case of an error it always notifies you the first time. You can set a wait period till the next notification, this way you are not overwhelmed with notifications that your website is not running properly.
- Email Notification
- Howsthe.com has a few options for notification, emails being one of them.
- SMS Notification
- Howsthe.com can send SMS/text messages to many carriers, allowing for the quickest responses to a website issue.
- Timed Intervals
- Howsthe.com can trigger a monitor to check your website in one of the following time intervals 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Notification to Multiple Location
- Howsthe.com can send alerts to multiple emails and phone numbers to receive SMS/text messages.
- Multiple Website Monitoring
- Howsthe.com allows you to monitor many websites and web services, this is limited depending on which plan are signed up for.
